Question 1: Why is my Delaget data updating once a day versus on an hourly basis?
Answer 1: Delaget only receives files once a day from Tray therefore can only update your reports on a daily basis.
Question 2: Where do I look for correct punches in Tray’s system?
Answer 2: Tray is aware that in some instances reports are not matching each other. Tray has recommended the use of the Time Card report as the source of truth.
Question 3: Why may the Voids not match between Delaget and Tray?
Answer 3: Tray has a metric for Voids and a metric for Returns. Delaget combines them.
Question 4: Why could some metrics related to transactions and sales not match between Delaget and Tray?
Answer 4: The items listed as accurate in the chart below will match for the Week to Date Sales & Cash. There is a scenario where there is an overnight transaction and a transaction is open on one day and closed on the next, taxes and sales may not match. This is a known issue that is currently being worked on by Delaget and does not affect Week to Date Sales & Cash but does affect other reports.
Please note, that there is likely to be a high frequency of this occurrence in 24HR stores until the issue is corrected.
Question 5: Why do Voids not match between Delaget and Tray?
Answer 5: Tray is currently working on an issue with Voids. For now, please use Delaget reports as the source of truth for voids. The issue arises when a check is opened on one business day and is closed on another. Delaget is counting the void on the day the check is opened and Tray is counting it on the day it was voided.
Question 6: Can I use custom reasons for Voids?
Answer 6: No, you should not be using custom reasons for Voids. Doing so will lead to unbalanced reporting. Tray will be removing the ability to enter custom voids in a future release.
Question 7: Why doesn’t my drill down in Delaget work for Refunds (aka Returns)?
Answer 7: The Tray data structure is not currently setup to support this feature. We would like to learn more about how you use this capability. Please reach out to sam.gross@delaget.com and Michael.Salmon@dinebrands.com with feedback on this feature.
Tray refers to this as refunds and Micros as returns but they are the same thing.
Question 8: Why are my gift card numbers not matching between Tray and Delaget?
Answer 8: There are some Gift Card related items that Tray is currently working on. Those Gift Card items could result in some edge cases where the Gift Card may be inaccurate.
Question 9: Why do Gross Receipts not match between Tray and Delaget reports?
This issue has been resolved and Gross Receipts should match Tray.
Question 10: Are there metrics on the Tray DSR that are currently in development?
Answer 10: Yes, Tray is currently working on implementing changes to Outstanding, Carried Over and Average metrics (Average/Guest, Average/Check, Average/Table).
Question 11. Why do Gross Receipts not match between the DSR and Delaget reports?
Answer 11: There is a known issue with the DSR where it is incorrectly including Donations. Tray is working on a fix for this issue and once resolved the DSR will match Delaget reporting. Delaget reports are accurate for Gross Receipts.
Question 12: What data points are not available from Tray to populate on Delaget reports?
Answer 12: The following data points are not currently available, but under consideration for future enhancement:

Question 13: Is my historical data up to date?
Answer 13: On the Week to Date Sales & Cash and the other reports currently live the historical data will be accurate from 8/30/22 to 9/30/22. When the second round of enhancements from Tray is released by Delaget we will be able to repoll historical data from the date the store cutover to the most current date. Timing details will be provided.
Question 14: What is the difference between Voids/Returns on Week to Date sales & cash and Refunds in Tray reporting?
Answer 14: On the Week to Date Sales & Cash and other reports Voids/Returns metric combines both voids and returns. In Tray a return is called a refund and is reported as only a refund. So, there may be instances where Delaget Voids/Returns metrics is higher than Tray’s refund metric because Delaget is combining Voids/Returns.
Question 15: Why could there be some missing sales and missing checks?
Answer 15: In some instances an employee may be tagged inappropriately as “test staff”. In this scenario Tray will exclude any employee and associated data from being passed to Delaget which will result in missing sales and missing checks. This will likely not be a common occurrence. You can check if an employee is tagged as test staff in the Site Setup portion of Tray shown below.
